Welcome to the Journal of Integrative Biology

Aims & Scope

The Journal of Integrative Biology (JIB) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to fostering innovative research across the spectrum of life sciences. As a multidisciplinary platform, JIB encourages the integration of knowledge from diverse fields to enhance understanding of biological systems in their complexity, from molecular to ecological scales. JIB will publish articles only in English language.

At JIB, we aim to provide a platform for scientists, researchers, and scholars to share high-quality research that pushes the boundaries of biology. By connecting various disciplines, we promote holistic approaches to understanding life in all its forms, exploring how biological processes interrelate and intersect with allied fields like biotechnology, environmental sciences, and computational biology etc.

Publication Policies at JIB

Article Processing Charges

No publication fees will be charged for articles published in the first volumes of the journal. However, from March 1, 2025, the journal will implement a nominal publication fee of Rs. 6000 or USD 200 (from Non-Indian Authors) per article. This fee will help cover the costs associated with the peer review process, editorial management, and online hosting, ensuring that JIB continues to provide open access to all published content.

Expert Editorial and reviewer panel

The Journal of Integrative Biology prides itself on having an esteemed Editorial and Reviewer Panel composed of leading experts from diverse fields within the life sciences. Our panel ensures a rigorous and transparent peer-review process, maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity and quality in every published article. By leveraging their expertise, we are committed to delivering impactful and innovative research to the global scientific community.

Our Peer Review Process

The Journal of Integrative Biology follows a single-blind peer review process, where the identities of the reviewers remain anonymous to the authors, while reviewers are aware of the authors’ identities. This approach ensures that reviewers can provide objective and unbiased feedback, maintaining the integrity and quality of the evaluation process, while authors receive constructive critiques to enhance their research.
